Twitter Integration Wordpress Plugins

These are some of the plugins that you can use for Wordpress 2.7 and above. They will help intergrate your twitter feeds as well as do some other nifty things with the twitter platform.

Twitter for Wordpress - Twitter for WordPress displays yours latest tweets in your WordPress blog.

@ Reply - This plugin allows you to add Twitter-like @reply links to comments. When clicked, those links insert the author name and a link to the comment you are replying to in the textarea.

Twitter Tools - Twitter Tools is a plugin that creates a complete integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account.

Twitme - This release of Twitme was needed because with Twitme 1.6.7 you would have to much posts on Twitter but now with version 1.6.8 you had no Twitter traffic at all when releasing new posts on your blog. Now a load of people reported me this issue and i with help i figured out what it was.

Note: Twitme does not work in combination with other Twitter plugins like “Twitter Tools”. Make sure you disable those plugins before you install Twitme (This goes for any version of Twitme).

Twitpress - Submits a user definable tweet to your twitter account notifying any twitter followers or friends that a new blog entry has been published on your blog (or an existing published entry has been edited). Supports inclusion of a permalink to your blog posting in the tweet.

SimpleTwitter - SimpleTwitter allows Wordpress blog owners to add Twitter messages to their templates. Once installed, the plug-in is used by adding the following call in a template.

There’s no formatting. All this returns is the plain text that is the most recent Twitter post found for the configured Twitter user. The message will be cached for the configured number of minutes. After this time, Twitter is checked for new messages.

Twitter Widget Pro - A widget that properly handles twitter feeds, including @username and link parsing. It supports displaying profiles images, and even lets you control whether to display the time and date of a tweet or how log ago it happened (about 5 hours ago, etc). Requires PHP5.

Tweetbacks - People are talking about your posts, and not only in the comments to your post. A lot of that conversation is happening on Twitter, and now, you can take that conversation right back to your blog! This plugin imports those tweets about your posts as comments. You can display them in between the other comments on your blog, or display them separately.

TwitterCounter - Integrate TwitterCounter.com badges on your blog to display the number of followers you have on Twitter

MyTwitter - MyTwitter allows users to display their recent Twitter status updates (tweets) on their Wordpress site and update their status through the Options page. Includes customization options including number of recent twitters to display, formatting options, and stylesheets. It can be called as a function or used as a widget.

Twitter style links - If you write something like “@nick, how are you?” this plugin will search for @nick’s url in the comment list of the current post and will convert his/her name to a link.

Sociable – With Sociable you can add a “Add Link to Twitter” icon to every single wordpress post. This allows people to share your content along the web. I definetely recommend this Wordpress plugin
